Senior Choir  more

Their anthems are accompanied with our Estey Pipe Organ as well as the Wm. Knabe & Co. Grand Piano.

The Senior Choir sings at other special services which include Ash Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, our annual Ecumenical Thanksgiving service and Christmas Eve.  The Senior Choir offers a wonderful offering of Christmas anthems before the Christmas Eve service.

They participate in the Mystic Area Ecumenical Council Choir Festival which includes area church choirs who come together to sing under the direction of a prominent composer/choral director from throughout the United States and also participate in other special events.

Rehearsals are each Tuesday from 7:00 to 8:30 pm.  The warm-up time before weekly worship is at 9:30 am in the choir room.  Membership is always open and all are welcome to come and sing to the Lord.

Junior/Youth Choir more

Our Junior/Youth Choir sings at special services throughout the year, combine with the Senior Choir at various times and participate in the annual Mystic Area Ecumenical Council Choir Festival.  This festival provides the choristers an opportunity to sing under prominent sacred choral composers and prominent choral composers and educators in church and choral music.  Past conductors of the festival have included John Horman, Allen Pote, Hal Hopson, Michael Bedford, Sue Ellen Page and Lynnel Joy  Jenkins.  The Junior/Youth Choir has sung annually at the New London Chapter of The American Guild of Organists annual Children’s Choir Festival, performing solo anthems as well as singing in the massed choir of over 100 choristers.

Rehearsals are Thursdays from 5:45-6:30 pm in the choir room. Choristers learn music reading and learn proper choral singing techniques.   Warm-up time on the Sundays this choir sings is at 9:20 am in the sanctuary.  Choir season runs from September to June.  Membership is always open some come and join us kids.

Handbell Choir – The Village Ringers

They have performed at many regional choir festivals, participated in the Area I AGEHR Festival Conferences and at the New London Chapter of The American Guild of Organists event entitled Organ, Voices and Handbells in Harmony. 

The Handbell Choir is an intermediate level handbell choir and music reading is recommended.  We encourage all to come and sit in at a rehearsal where we have lots of fun.  We are always looking for substitutes to participate when needed.

The Handbell Choir rehearses on Thursdays from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm in the choir room
